Marrakech Medina & the High Atlas

    6 Nights · Morocco

This six-night journey traces two distinct but kindred expressions of Morocco — the intimate, courtyard stillness of Dar Z5 in Marrakech's ancient Dar el Bacha quarter, and the breathtaking mountain solitude of Kasbah du Toubkal, perched above the Berber village of Imlil in the High Atlas.

    Between Two Worlds

Kasbah du Toubkal & Dar Z5

This pairing is one of Morocco's most compelling contrasts — raw mountain solitude against the intimate warmth of a living medina. Both properties are rooted in regenerative practice and deep respect for Moroccan heritage, making their connection feel intentional rather than merely geographical.

The two properties sit roughly 75 km apart — about 1.5–2 hours by road. Guests depart Marrakech's Dar el Bacha quarter and wind south through the foothills of the High Atlas, arriving at Imlil village before ascending by mule (or on foot) to the kasbah perched above at 1,800m. The return leg is the reverse.

    Thematic Thread

Both properties share a quiet conservation ethic — Kasbah du Toubkal through its Berber community partnerships and mountain stewardship, Dar Z5 through its biodiversity work with ornithologists and botanists. Guests moving between them experience Morocco's two great natural registers: the vertical drama of the Atlas and the cultivated, layered beauty of the medina — each one a different kind of sanctuary.
