    About the Hotel

A family-owned boutique hotel offering exceptional hospitality, sustainability and community engagement.

Originally opened in 1925 under the name Hotel Santa Rosa, El Albergue is a historic and romantic hotel set inside the Ollantaytambo train station — little more than an hour away from Machu Picchu and the city of Cusco. Gardens here are visited by hummingbirds and engulfed in the aroma of fuchsia, passionflower, peaches and avocado trees.

During their stay, guests may spend days visiting the archaeological sites of Ollantaytambo, Pisaq and Moray, enjoy river rafting, biking and horseback riding, and immerse themselves in the beauty, cuisine and culture of the Andes — or simply relax in their hammocks and sauna.

Located in the heart of the Sacred Valley, El Albergue's commitment to hospitality, sustainability and community is reflected in every detail, from the on-site organic farm to its support of education and conservation. Through their dedication to sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, the team works tirelessly to minimize environmental impact and create a fair and equitable environment for all.
